A Busy & Delicious Day: Mushroom Chicken Magic at Beyond Fun!
Today was a wonderfully busy and productive day at Beyond Fun as our participants took part in an engaging cooking session, creating a delicious mushroom chicken dish from scratch!
From the moment we started prepping ingredients, the atmosphere was full of energy. Participants practised safe cutting skills, carefully sliced their veggies, and worked step-by-step through the recipe. The kitchen buzzed with teamwork as everyone contributed, chopping mushrooms, seasoning the chicken, stirring the pan, and checking in on each other’s progress.
The aroma of sizzling mushrooms and tender chicken soon filled the room, and excitement grew as the dish came together beautifully. For many, it was a chance to build confidence, explore new textures and flavours, and take pride in creating something tasty from start to finish.
When it was finally time to serve, the plates looked fantastic, and the smiles were even better! Cooking sessions like today’s highlight the value of hands-on learning, independence, and joyful participation in a supportive environment.
