All Aboard for Adventure: Community Access Day in the City!
Today’s community access program demonstrated real-world skill-building through public transport training. Participants developed independence and confidence as they navigated stations, read signs, and moved through the city together.
The train ride itself was a highlight, filled with curiosity, conversation, and plenty of smiles as we made our way into town. Once we arrived, we enjoyed a peaceful walk through Hyde Park, taking in the greenery, open space, and vibrant city atmosphere.
Our main destination was the Australian Museum, where participants explored fascinating exhibits, engaged with new environments, and discovered stories of history, culture, and nature. From awe-inspiring displays to moments of quiet observation, everyone had the chance to explore at their own pace.
By day’s end, participants showed clear growth in confidence, skills, and independence. Community access days drive real-world learning and collective achievement in our city adventures.
