From Design to Pick-Up: Alex’s Printing Mission + Oliver’s First Painting Day!
Last Saturday, the Beyond Fun team watched confidence grow.
Alex was excited to get his custom shirt printed. He asked Mo for support, and together they visited the Merrylands Stockland print shop.
At the shop, Alex confidently guided the staff, explaining his design, the right size, and all order details. Watching him advocate for his choice was a proud moment.
With the order placed, Alex took another independent step, ordering lunch himself. Choosing a meal, placing an order, and managing the day are key life skills, and Alex handled them all with a big smile and confidence.
After placing the order, Alex enjoyed another moment of independence by ordering lunch for himself. Next, he'll return to collect his shirt, a moment we're all looking forward to!
At the centre, Oliver’s first moments were all about creativity and comfort.
Oliver explored paints at his own pace, tried new ideas, and enjoyed the calm, friendly session. It was a great way to build connection and comfort, one brushstroke at a time.
From community access and self-advocacy to creativity and friendships, Saturday showed every activity delivers real outcomes while staying fun.
We’re proud of Alex for leading his printing experience, and we’re happy to welcome Oliver to Beyond Fun.
