Love, Laughter & UNO: Valentine’s Day Art at Beyond Fun!
Valentine’s Day brought joy to Beyond Fun, and the centre buzzed with creativity from the start.
Participants explored Valentine’s Day-themed art, using colours, shapes, and designs for unique pieces. Some focused on hearts and patterns, others added personal, creative touches. Everyone made choices, tried new ideas, and expressed themselves.
It was wonderful to see participants support one another, share materials, and proudly show what they created. These art activities improved participants' confidence, focus, patience, and self-expression, helping them develop valuable social-emotional skills through enjoyable learning experiences.
After the artwork was finished, everyone settled in for a lively UNO match that went beyond fun, it enhanced participants’ social skills by encouraging turn-taking, communication, and friendly competition. The shared excitement and surprises helped strengthen positive relationships among participants.
Valentine’s Day isn’t just about hearts. It’s about fostering friendship, belonging, and celebrating time together. Today’s activities visibly deepened these connections, with participants leaving more connected, cooperative, and inspired to spread kindness and celebrate friendships daily.
