Mosaic Magic Monday: Glass Tile Coasters & New Year Cheer at Beyond Fun!
Monday’s art session at Beyond Fun centred on hands-on learning, creative problem-solving, and crafting functional art, glass tile mosaic coasters.
We explored different art media and materials, then jumped into a fun project: glass-tile mosaic drink coasters. From choosing colours to planning patterns, everyone had the chance to make creative decisions and bring their own style to the table. Some went bold and bright, others kept it classic and calm, and every coaster turned out unique.
Making mosaics takes patience, focus, and problem-solving. We practised carefully placing tiles, working with shapes and spacing, and adjusting designs as we went. It was also a great teamwork day, with ideas shared, encouragement given, and celebration of those “yes, that looks amazing!” moments.
Best part? These coasters are more than just art; they’re New Year–ready, and they’ll be a beautiful addition to our celebrations. A practical piece of creativity, made with pride.
