The day began on a sweet, high-energy note as trays of cookies, brownies, and mini-doughnuts vanished almost as soon as they arrived at the table. Laughter swirled around the room while Richard caught mid-bite in a now-legendary photo, proving that dessert can be the perfect ice-breaker for a morning of hands-on learning.
Once, everyone was buzzing with sugar-fuelled enthusiasm, aprons were tied, and recipe sheets unfurled beneath a cheerful arch of blue-and-yellow balloons. The kitchen transformed into a flurry of focused activity: one corner whisked garlic, yolk and lemon into a velvety aioli; another coaxed eggs into glossy, golden perfection; meanwhile, the sizzling soundtrack of bacon on the hotplate filled the air. We even picked up a pro tip that adding a splash of ice-cold water at the end keeps homemade aioli as silky as any gourmet spread.
With all the components ready, it was time for the real show: building the ultimate brekky roll. Each soft sesame bun received a generous swipe of aioli before being stacked with peppery rocket, molten cheese, crackling bacon, a perfectly cooked egg and, finally, a crisp hash-brown crown.
